Decaffeinated Coffee Pods

Pods are a convenient way to make excellent decaffeinated espresso coffees which are always fresh and hassle-free.

What are coffee pods?
Pods are individual servings of fresh ground coffee. Each one contains an exact measurement of pre-tamped ground coffee which is enclosed in filter paper and sealed in an air-tight pouch.

To make an espresso, you simply remove the pod from the pouch and place it in the espresso machine's pod holder or group handle.

Providing freshly ground decaf can be a real headache for cafes and bars. Decaffeinated coffee is usually consumed in smaller quantities than regular coffee. This creates a wastage problem because a batch of ground decaf coffee or beans goes stale if not enough customers ask for it before it is used up. So they either have to throw it away or risk serving coffee made with stale beans or grindings. This wastage cost results in lower profits for decaffeinated products which can really add up over time.

Each pod contains a single or double serving of freshly ground coffee beans, already measured and pre-tamped, ready for placing into an espresso machine. 
What goes into a pod? 
Precisely measured chemical-free SWISS WATER® Process decaffeinated ground coffee.
Roasted coffee beans are freshly ground and immediately measured into individual doses - either single serve or double serves. Each dose is then pre-tamped for optimal extraction and wrapped in a paper pod.
 
Sealed-in, longer-lasting freshness
 The filled pods are hermetically sealed into laminated aluminium pouches and flushed with nitrogen to remove the oxygen. This locks in all the original aromas and flavours of the freshly ground coffee until the pouch is opened and the pod is used.
